PROSECCO TOUR AND VALDOBBIADENE HILLS

A must for Prosecco-lovers and all things picturesque… a visit to two different wineries in the lush Prosecco hills, stopping off at the beautiful little town of Asolo – known as
‘The City of a Hundred Horizons’ for its sublime, far-reaching views, loved by famous 19th-century English poet Robert Browning, actress Eleonora Duse and many, many others, and a member of

‘I Borghi piu Belli d’Italia’  – The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy association.

VALPOLICELLA WINE TASTING AND THE CITY OF VERONA

If reds are more your thing… embark on a journey to the famous ‘Pearl of Verona’ a.k.a. the hilly, wine-growing Valpolicella area of the Veneto to taste a selection of local reds including full-bodied Amarones, along with an insight into the delicious extra-virgin olive oils produced in the region, followed
by a tour of Verona’s historic city centre (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) with a private guide upon request.

The DOLOMITI

Create a veritable feast for all your senses by taking a leisurely ride through the stunning Cadore mountain villages – pretty Pieve di Cadore (birthplace of Italian Renaissance painter Titian),
Auronzo and Misurina with their shimmering turquoise lakes, perhaps adding on a visit to the spectacular ‘Tre Cime di Lavaredo’
(Three Peaks of Lavaredo – a longer tour available upon request and subject to availability), later returning to Venice via fashionable Cortina d’ Ampezzo, joint host with Milan of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

VILLA PISANI, VILLA WIDMANN AND THE CITY OF PADUA

Prepare to be dazzled by the sheer architectural splendour of two magnificent 18th-century villas on the ‘Riviera del Brenta’ Canal. Situated just north of Venice and illustrious mainland summer residences of the Venetian nobility, your visit will focus on one of the largest and most striking of the Brenta villas, the imposing Villa Pisani at Stra, owned in turn by Doge of Venice Alvise Pisani, Napoleon, the House of Habsburg and the House of Savoy, followed by the more modestly proportioned Villa Widmann at Mira. Also known as the Villa Widmann-Rezzonico-Foscari, this exquisite French Rococo-style palace is a masterpiece of breathtaking internal frescoes, elaborate stuccos, glittering Murano chandeliers and rare antique pieces. Round off your day with an afternoon tour of Padua’s arcaded historic centre (private guide upon request), home to the extraordinary Scrovegni Chapel with its 14th-century frescoes by Giotto (advance booking required) and to one of the oldest universities in the world.

Alternatively, skip the villas (although that would be a pity!) and take a tour of central Padua with optional private guide, followed by an afternoon of wine tasting in the rolling Euganean Hills – a region famed for its natural beauty and volcanic thermal springs, and its variety of superb wines that draw wine enthusiasts from around the globe.
