Description

Hello, I’m Roberta. I come from the countryside on the borders of the Veneto and Friuli regions and attended the historic Wine School of Conegliano where I graduated in oenology – the study of wine.

Involved in the wine sales business for some years, I came to know well the superb restaurants and wonderful places that enrich the history of our great region and, after taking time out to spend with my family, have returned to my twin loves of oenology and nature with the aim of offering travellers something out of the ordinary.

Spend time with me in beautiful places with congenial company in a family-like atmosphere – seeing new sights, tasting new wines, meeting my friends, and becoming guest of honour!

Tours

Asolo – Prosecco tour

This tour showcases vineyards, beautiful landscapes and illustrious villas that have long enchanted writers, and travellers like you!

We’ll meander the ancient town of Asolo and climb up to the fortress to admire the view. On some days you can see all the way to Venice! – the reason why Asolo’s called ‘the city of a hundred horizons’.

One of the most picturesque and famous spots in Italy and a place loved by famous 19th century English poet Robert Browning, Eleonora Duse and many, many others, modern day visitors can admire the Freya Stark gardens-archaeological park before being driven along the Prosecco route, visiting characterful places known only to locals.

And last but not least, we’ll visit Villa Barbaro – a UNESCO Heritage site and one of the most beautiful Palladian villas in the Veneto – to admire the frescoes by Paolo Veronese dating all the way back to the mid -16th century.

Turn your visit into an extra-special occasion with an optional visit to our friends at the Villa Cipriani at Asolo – a gorgeously characterful antique-filled Renaissance villa sympathetically transformed into a wonderful 5-star hotel attracting a discerning clientele from all around the world.

Once the private home of Robert Browning and situated just on the fringes of this ancient and atmospheric little gem of a city, the villa boasts not only a unique perfumed Italian garden of cascading roses and ancient cypresses, and spectacular views over pomegranate trees, olive groves and the valley below, but also a fabulous swimming pool with Jacuzzi area set in bucolic surroundings (and available to our guests upon request), an elegant bar ‘Il Pozzo’ serving aperitifs of all types and, the jewel in the crown, an award-winning restaurant conjuring up superb seasonal specialities of the Veneto and Mediterranean based on market-fresh ingredients.

Take a break in our travels and drop in for a leisurely afternoon tea, or indulge in the special ‘Menu Degustazione’ or one of the lunch proposals expertly crafted for guests. Or even extend your visit and stay at the Villa for a few nights… Be assured Venice will be waiting upon your return!

Treviso and the prosecco Hills – Day Tour

Passing the country residences of Venetian nobles built during the golden era of ‘La Serenissima’, we’ll visit Treviso – a fascinating walled city dating back to 1200, where we’ll see frescoed houses, the Chapter House and the fish and fruit markets that bring the city to life.

We’ll take a light lunch in a typical city restaurant, where we’ll sample ‘cicchetti’ – the Venetian equivalent of tapas – and the famous ‘tiramisu’.

Moving north, we’ll stop at a wine cellar and, after a tasting, visit a small but beautiful historic village. We’ll spend the day being driven through the Prosecco hills between vineyards and medieval castles rich in history, landscape and very good food.
